The next man-made structure along Dunbar Creek is a Diversion Dam that was wiped-out by a storm a few years back. It was constructed to keep the stream from changing course and threatening the road, but heavy winter snows and rains combined to wash it out. The same storms corrected the problem naturally, by dropping trees across the developing wayward channel and developing a flotsam diversion dam that returned the stream to its original course.
